Las Palmas is located on one of the Canary Islands called Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria is situated between Tenerife and Fuerteventura. Las Palmas is the capital of Gran Canaria and it is in the north of the Island. It is also a province of the Canary Islands. The city of Las Palmas has an inhabitancy of around 370.000 people and is rich in architecture. It has been ranked as in the top ten for the most urbanised city in Spain. Las Palmas is a very cosmopolitan city and has some lovely beaches around it. Las Palmas airport is only about 20 minutes away from the city Las Palmas itself.
